Hi. I am Thomas Weise, a computer scientist at the
Nature Inspired Computation and Applications Laboratory (NICAL) of the
University of Science and Technology of China (USTC, 中国科学技术大学) in Héféi, Ānhuī, China who received his doctorate at the
Distributed Systems Group of the
University of Kassel. During my time there, I began writing an
e-book about global optimization such as
evolutionary algorithms,
genetic programming,
